Painting from reference

From £100 (UK) / $120 (US)A detailed gouache- or watercolour-style digital painting from a photo reference.Great for paintings of pets, friends and family.I can add or remove elements from the reference on request, change backgrounds, etc.I can also do simpler paintings in any of the styles listed under "Character Artwork" which may be cheaper overall - we can discuss what will best fit your budget.

SKETCHWhat you get: PNG and CSP files of a loose, lines-only sketch of your character. I will consult with you on composition and key features beforehand, but you will not be able to make changes.What you pay:

SIMPLE SHADINGWhat you get: PNG + CSP lineart as above, but with simple (one colour + tone) colouring or black and white shading. By default, you will get two versions: one with a plain colour or gradient background, the other a transparent PNG with no background.You have a choice between untextured colour, watercolour effect, and greyscale. You can also leave that choice up to me, and I will do whichever I feel works best for the piece.I will check in with you a minimum of twice - once at the sketch stage to ensure you are happy with the composition/design, and again before adding colour. Changes can be made at any point before payment.. . .What you pay:

You can also leave that choice up to me, and I will do whichever I feel works best for the piece.. . .What you pay:

These could be rotations of the full-body design (as in the example), or could include detail shots. Additional angles/shots can be negotiated.This is intended for characters with an existing design concept. I can workshop details of the design with you for an additional fee (depending on complexity).

- extreme gore or violence (I don't judge it, I'm just bad at it)
- sexual or suggestive content which includes minors or real people
- hateful or bigoted content of any kindI maintain the right to refuse any commission for any reason.

To avoid this and to communicate that you have read the full terms and conditions, please include "I came from your Carrd" in your first message.I will require a means of contacting you with updates, as well as an email address to send the finished files to. If you are based in the UK, I can also take BACS on request, which may cut down on fees and lower the price slightly. Unfortunately, I cannot take international bank transfers.I take payment on delivery, once you are satisfied with the work. I accept all currencies, but UK pounds sterling are best (as this means neither of us has to pay conversion charges!)Once you have paid me, the artwork is yours to do with as you like (including edits/crops/colouring), provided you do not:
- Claim it as your own work
- Resell the image, or charge for icons/layouts/other content made with the imageI retain the right to:
- Use the image(s) you commissioned as examples of my work
- Share the image(s) you commissioned on my own social media (I will not do this until you have received the artwork - you will always be the first to see it!)I will try to ask before doing either of the above, but I may forget!All payments are final. No changes are to be requested to the artwork once the payment is completed (although if I later notice I've missed something, I may fix it and send you the improved version!)
